Katherine E. Koontz

Katherine’s practice focuses on all areas of domestic relations and criminal law matters including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, division of assets, contempt proceedings, modifications, abuse prevention orders and all matters pertaining to DCF involvement.  Katherine has represented clients in all aspects of domestic relations at the trial level as well as  the appellate level. Further, she successfully represents clients in serious criminal matters and other related areas such as Title IX proceedings all across the Commonwealth. Katherine has been selected for the Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of criminal defense in 2021-2023.

Prior to joining the firm, Katherine was an associate at a small firm focusing on domestic relations and criminal defense working on high-profile cases as an associate. She spent three years as a trial attorney at the Committee for Public Counsel Services representing parents and children in care and protections proceedings in an effort to keep families safely united.
